Copycat Starbucks Pink Drink

Yield: 8 cups
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 8 cups Water
  • 8 bags Tazo Passionfruit Tea
  • 6 Tbsp Torani Sugar-Free Vanilla Syrup
  • 1/8 tsp Stevia Glycerite
  • 8 Tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream, or Full-Fat Coconut Milk/Cream (for dairy-free)

  2. Remove teabags and squeeze out any excess tea. Discard.
  3. Add the syrup and stevia, stirring to combine. Let cool slightly, then pour into a glass (or other heat-safe) container. Let cool a bit before storing in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Let cool completely before serving.

Hi, I love the Passion Tango tea from Starbucks (keto version) so I went home and made my own. I boiled two cups of water and used two tea bags of the Tazo tea. I used heavy cream and monk fruit sweetener (I don’t have the syrup) and used my little frother stick to mix it. I was pretty darn proud of myself. I’ll definitely be making it again.

Thank you for the recipe. This is one of my favorite keto drinks. I've been making it with hibiscus tea since its cheaper to make it with the family-size tea bags. As long as the tea is good and strong, everything turns out delicious. The recipe is wonderful both blended with ice or poured over ice.

The coconut milk separates when it is in contacted with the green tea. I am not sure what the problem is. Any ideas? I tried two different kinds of milk. The only one that works is pure coconut milk that still has fat in it.

I put all ingredients in my Ninja blender. It’s not as pretty as the pictured drink but at least the cream doesn’t curdle.

Does your heavy cream ever curdle when you add it? Mine did not look nearly as nice as yours. It all separated.

The cream curdles often because a tea has citric acid in it; just as you can make buttermilk by adding lemon juice or vinegar to milk causing it to instantly sour and curdle. That is why British often only take Lemon or Cream in their tea at high tea ;o)
