This irresistible, sugar free, Keto caramel Macchiato needs to make it on your “must have” list… now. Pair this caramel Macchiato with your breakfast and you’ll be off to the perfect day.

What is the difference between latte and macchiato?

The difference between a latte and a macchiato all boil down to the ratio of milk to espresso. You can also determine the difference between a macchiato vs. latte in that a macchiato is just espresso and steamed milk. Whereas a latte is espresso, steamed milk, AND foamed milk.

In this recipe, leave out the milk foam and you’ve got a true macchiato. Now, if you’re like me, add the velvety milk foam on for an even better experience and you’ve got yourself a Sugar Free Caramel Latte Macchiato.

Keto Caramel Macchiato

Sugar-Free Caramel Macchiato

Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Combine water and cream in a milk steamer pitcher. Froth with a steam wand until doubled in volume. If you don't have a milk steamer, heat up in the microwave or on the stovetop, then pour into a French press and plunge up and down until frothy and doubled in volume.
  2. Pour the vanilla syrup into a large mug then add the steamed milk.
  3. Pour espresso over the steamed milk, preferably in the center to leave the "stain" there.
  4. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top and enjoy right away.

Notes

Whole milk foams the best. If you're not consuming a super low-carb diet, we prefer whole milk to the blend of cream/water in this recipe.
