Keto Alfredo Recipe w/ Beef

A ground beef Alfredo recipe isn’t really that common. However, we’ve found that it’s pretty good (especially if you decide to enhance the taste and make it spicy). Just use your favorite hot sauce, red pepper flakes, or add an additional seasoning of choice.

How to Make Ground Beef Alfredo

First, the beef portion of the recipe:

Dry the Beef

Dry the ground beef thoroughly with paper towels. Drying the beef is an important step to encourage the Maillard Reaction. The Maillard Reaction is the chemical reaction taking place with the meat when the proteins are heated to a high enough temperature causing a “browning” – not burning. Read all about that in this post: Cast Iron Steak – Tips for the Perfect (at home) Steak – This process will make your Ground Beef Alfredo dinner even better (promise).

Heat Ground Beef on HIGH in Skillet

In a skillet (preferably seasoned cast iron) over high heat, add the ground beef and let one side cook without stirring or breaking it up. Get a nice sear before flipping and searing the other side.

Once both sides are seared, break up with a wooden spoon and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until cooked through and no longer pink. Season to taste with Savory Salt.

Remove from heat and set aside.

Next, make the Alfredo sauce:

While beef is cooking, prepare the alfredo sauce.

Prep (in another Skillet)

In a separate skillet over medium-low heat, melt the butter.

Once melted, add the heavy cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine everything. Let it simmer and come to a low boil for a couple minutes, or until slightly thickened.

Final Steps for Making Alfredo Sauce

Remove from heat and add parmesan cheese in 3 batches, stirring well in between each addition. Return to low heat and let simmer for another couple of minutes, stirring almost constantly.

If your sauce isn’t entirely smooth, you can pour it into a glass jar and blend it with an immersion blender, but that’s entirely optional.

Serve hot over freshly browned ground beef to create the perfect Ground Beef Alfredo dinner. Top with additional red pepper flakes, hot sauce, or additional spicy seasoning if desired.
